So I called today. The reason for closure was “too many new account/inquiries in short time, short credit history, little info on file”. I was asked basically why apply for other credit cards when chase has already given me 3. I explained that I needed for hotels/flights for holidays and that I needed to travel a lot back and forth to my partner’a city. The rep said she would add a note to the request for a second review, and asked me to wait till like 10/11 when they pull credit file again. Is this the normal process for recon (and reinstatement if there’s a chance?) I’m wondering if people have their cards reinstated right away after some calls or if this waiting is normal. Thanks a lot.
