I arrived around 2 PM, took a taxi (lots of luggage) and waited for the much-vaunted horrible traffic to materialize, which it never did.

No waiting for a train, no switching lines, no waiting for a Grab car, no fighting crowds, no messing about with luggage and other belongings.

Yes, traffic can happen. But when taking the train you're going to have to switch/walk/whatever, and the conditions at the time may not be optimal.
