I'd use a metered taxi and agree to pay the meter or a fixed 500 THB including tolls (which are about 150 from memory). Grab isn't worth it at the airport - no cheaper, longer wait times, and the taxis at the airport are usually well regulated.

Otherwise it's feasible to take the train all the way, and potentially quicker if the traffic in Bangkok is bad.
