Note also, that on the Friday when Charlie hit the coast of Florida, the TV stations in the FLL/MIA area were saying that the airports would close if wind speed at the airports reached over 40 MPH (they never did, in that area, although MCO closed and received some structural damage from the storm). So that would seem to be one indicator of whether or not your flights would be on time, or cancelled due to the storm in the area.
