Yeah, I know...The more I think about it and the closer I get, the more I think I need to buy. And while not a complete harbinger of the attendance--hotel rooms in Guangzhou...Wow. At least at Hilton properties are 1/2 of what they normally are. Hilton Tianhe can be had for RMB1700 and Hilton Baiyun can be had for RMB1300. (I'm looking during the second session of CECF).
That being said, quite disappointed to see that the site does not accept Amex. What's up with that? The 'old' train (KCR) that departs from Hung Hom does. My only corporate card is an Amex, which I actually have very little trouble using in China.
Anyway, has anyone bought tickets from a 3rd party site like ChinaTravelGuide.com? They list all of the trains (and actually show seats available, like fare classes on flights, but up to 99). ...And they take Amex via PayPal. Or am I asking for trouble?
