When I worked for a company that was the largest purveyor of hotel rooms in a major citys downtown, the W hotel nagged us to throw them some business. The next time I had to go to HQ, I stayed at the W. It was summer on a Tuesday and about 100 degrees. I decided to go to the pool in evening only to find it closed for some musical artists private party.

While it didnt stop the pool being closed, expressing my disapproval and lack of commitment to the business traveler to the REVENUE MANAGER was probably more effective than the front desk.
