I don't understand why people are all out of sorts about green signs. It's very easy for a gate agent to tell someone "head that way to the green signs". It makes perfect sense to have these facilities in a strongly contrasting color.
I agree they are very useful, since "Go find the red Delta signs" could lead them to any number of different counters and/or a Wendy's.
I think the green just feels disconcerting because it's so different from the rest of DL's brand palette.
