3 changes are allowed for each CP that is issued. Therefore you can change the CP 3 times until the day it expires which is normally between 12.5 and 14 months from the day it is issued. Once you reach your 100 credit renewel (actually when you next CP has been issued), you get 3 more changes to that CP. I agree with you, I don't think that it is worth the hassle and loss of validity to test out your strategy, although I doubt SWA would have a leg to stand on if they tried to just take a RR award out of your account if you somehow managed to make your strategy work. Once SWA comes up with instant online changing of the companion, then your strategy might be worth it. But I'll be expecting instant online companion pass changes about as soon as I expect electronic bump vouchers....................NEVER. If you've got time to change the CP, you must have time before this trip. Just book the 3rd ticket in advance for $200, much easier, much less hassle, and you earn 3 RR credits on that paid ticket anyways.
