There are sustainable alternatives to single use plastics. They are getting cheaper and seeing more and more widespread use everywhere. These are mostly plant-based, are compostable and less likely to release potentially harmful micro/nanoplastics in food and drink. I very much appreciate the efforts AC is doing with the Café but, as part of their sustainability efforts, they should look into alternatives.
Yes, yes, the rest of the airport is filled with single-use plastic wrappings, forks, spoons, cups, etc. Doesn't mean that AC can't do better.
Or maybe this is all empty talk?
