Arriving without your academic poster is probably second only to finding yourself on stage with no clothes on in the "academic anxiety nightmare" stakes.
Often a poster acceptance to a conference is your "meal ticket" to attend.. (particularly if others in your dept want to go)..
I don't think ePoster viewings are quite the same thing. There is something about being able to walk up and down aisles of posters.
