Earlier posts to this thread confirm a NJ law that specifically allows EWR to serve booze from 6 am onward, even on a Sunday. IIRC it's 6 am to 3 am.
There is no distinction anymore between Elizabeth and Newark as far a serving alcohol is concerned at EWR.
