Wife and I are travelling JFK-LAX with our baby (lap infant) in business class on January 3rd. We are booked on AA171 departing at 6am. At the time of booking all other flights that day were double the price so I thought we’d suck up the early departure. I’ve just checked and the 7.30am (AA1) and 9am (AA255) flights are now the same price as what we originally paid for the 6am flight. I called up and was quoted $200 per adult change fee. Can anyone give their thoughts on the likelihood of a SDFC to one of the later flights or am I best to make the change now? Not sure if it makes a difference but I am OWE (QF).
