Since the moderator didn't shut down the topic I'll answer. I flew Mia to Caracas and we veered very far around a hurricane. The wings of the jumbo aircraft still flapped like a birds wings. It amazed me how much those wings could bend without snapping. So I would expect a wild ride near the edge.
