I do this whenever I don’t use the butter to moisten the meat or fish or enhance the rice or noodles in the main entree. I also have been known to bring a couple extra butter oats from the United Club. The size of the current butter pats served onboard is totally underwhelming. If I hadn’t experienced them so many times I wouldn’t even think it was possible to make a container as small as the current butter containers.
Especially when you put the pats on your hot meal, and then pour out the liquid too quickly. It’s totally insufficient.
