Certainly not Air NZ......
It is UA's official published policy to interline to *A partners on separate tix. I've also done it no problem on CM, AV, SQ, and I believe others as well (but can't remember all the details). As for non-*A partners, CX is very generous (and its HKIA agents uniquely competent), and EK interlined to AF for me earlier this year. Never tried NZ
