Question Do We Fly OVER Hurricanes or AROUND Them?

I am scheduled for YYZ-LGA-FLL-SDQ on Wednesday, leaving FLL at 6 p.m. for SDQ arriving at 8. Hurricane Frances appears to be dividing the gap and is forecast to be near Bahamas by Thursday a.m. and by the time I leave on the 7th I expect it to be gone.

But if you look at the hurricane maps http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ftp/graphics...F/281453W5.gif

you wil see that the path of course is in between FLL and SDQ, so do we go above it and then land through the wind, or go around it, meaning overflying Cuba? I presume they won't not fly at this point, maybe they would Friday.
