An update for those kind enough to respond to my original enquiry----Phoned BA and the Customer Services Associate tried to book an Upper Deck seat for me manually but was unable to do so as his computer said "seat map unavailable" He suggested that I keep checking to see if it opened up or try to book it when I check in at MIA
