I can confirm. I booked this flight for my mom. Leaving late Nov, returning three weeks later in Dec. Layover in Beijing is approx 1h30 mins each way.
If you want a longer layover you can find this fare using CA990 as the JFk-PEK flight. Harder to find as CA990 only operates 3 days a week.
