That is not entirely true. If you do a flexible date search you can see a few days beyond the 331 day window. The system will show you if any reward seat are going to released on those days.
I’ve had my eye on some rewards seats from LAX to LHR on 22 August next year (331 days from today). I’ve known for a few days that Upper Class and Premium Economy seats were going to be released for that day but (in answer to my own question) I was not able to book them until 5:00am this morning.
