Couldnt quite find a thread to ask this question but does anyone know what happens when u transfer miles to someone else and they dont use it right away?
Wanted to transfer 35k for my friend to upgrade from PE-->J but its waiting list. If she doesnt get the upgrade, the 35k becomes hers and expires when miles expires(3 years since its coming from my citibank CC) correct?

just wanted to double check before i transfer and it ends up going missing after blah days...
