You have to vote with your steering wheel. If other brands do not charge this fee, move there and make sure they know what was the criteria for your booking was, so they may think twice about matching the fees.

While I am not one to espouse government control of everything, I am to the point where I would like to see mandated total price disclosure on the original search page.
