That's not how the seat map works. Even if you don't choose the skycouch option on the add-ins page you still see the skycouch rows (for sale and already allocated) on the seat map (see below). Besides, the OP already said they could see skycouch availability on the return but not the outbound.
It could be that all the skycouches that Revenue have allocated for sale on the outbound have already been sold. It happens.
