I'm planning a three weeks visit to London next summer with my wife and an uncle and his wife. They are in their 70's, so, we can't rush them, that's why we'll be staying three weeks. They travelled all over the world, but never went to London...

I was wondering if I would not be better off by calling the hotel directly for rates, since it will be two rooms for three weeks. I'm not impressed with spg.com rates so far.

I'm looking at the Sheraton Belgravia but their rates is 148 pounds/night, where the Hilton Kensington (where I stayed in the past and happy about it) is 99 pounds/night. I have Diamond (HH) and Plat (*wood) status. I know I will probably be upgraded with Hilton (as I was last time as Gold), but I would really like to give a chance to *wood.
