I have a booking for a Hilton in Dubai in 3 weeks time.
My partner will join me and paid for the pre-paid booking with his card (like we always do - we always travel together).
Unfortunately there has been a fraude issue on the card a few days ago so my partner had to get the card cancelled and replaced by a new one (different number).
The booking details mention : "for all prepaid bookings the original credit card used should be presented upon check-in" so I e-mailed the hotel to ask them if this is a problem and now they want to send us a link for a new payment so they can refund the original payment??
How does this work? Where would they send the refund to? Would we lose money on exchange rates?

Would it be OK if we show them his original card even though it was cancelled by the bank? (we still have the physical card even though it was cancelled). I haven't asked them this yet...

Anyone experienced anything similar in the past?
