My particular difficulty with larger venues is, well, people — too many of them. In my book, lots of people automatically results in a less luxurious experience. And, I continue skeptical that luxury is scalable. But one can’t ignore luxe resorts are getting bigger. There likely is a point, however, when quality slips over into quantity.
