Got another one. The website was giving me limited options on my outbound flight (below) and knowing there were more connection options I decided to do it as a multi-city ticket instead. Can my bags be checked all the way to GVA or will I have to re-check at LHR? This flight isn't a codeshare so it does concern me a bit. I would have the time in LHR but that is a huge hassle I would rather not deal with.
The bags will likely be tagged all the way to GVA automatically. If, by chance, they aren't, you should be able to get that done pretty easily. The front-end system that identifies itinerary breaks for the website is independent of the one that figures out where to send your bags.
