Buying Snack Food At HND or NRT

Looking to the massive expertise here: I have two transfers in Japan coming up (unfortunately with no actual visit to Japan itself this time) - one early morning in Haneda on NH transferring Sydney to Manila, and the other at Narita early evening transferring from Manila to Seattle. In Seattle I will be dropping in to see my daughter at university. She is studying Japanese, a Japan-ophile and is also VP of the school's anime club. I'd love to bring a bag full of snacks for her to share in class and/or the club. I have about three hours in each transfer.

Any suggestions on what to buy and where? I know I can get those banana cream cakes and odd flavored Poky and Kit Kat airside, but are there any places for more "ordinary" snacks? Are there decent options landside and would I have time (and would passport control be patient with a quick exit/re-entry)? Anything that wouldn't be immediately obvious if I just wander around duty free? Is there a reason to get stuff in Haneda v. Narita (if Haneda, will have to carry with me to Manila and back, whereas if Narita, I will just take on the plane and right to the hotel in Seattle)?

I know she can get Japanese snacks and pretty much everything, but the point here is that I am coming in direct from Japan (will also pick up some manga and magazines) and it's the fun of it!

Thanks for any practical suggestions.
