I spent 15 minutes trying to get them on and gave up. My wife- who was with me- noticed this- she has small feet-as did the priest traveling across the aisle. Has it come to this? Penny pinching on sometthing that must cost less than a dollar? I mentioned it to the Purser and he indicated he was aware of this and just shook his head. Said they get it in the neck first then “Corporate” goes after everything else.
You raise a good point. How many times this year has UA huffed and puffed about the airline experience be it Kirbys recent remarks on improving quality or Oscar saying how the airport experience sucks. At the end of the day it’s all a marketing ploy to make travellers feel that UA really cares, something that likely matters given the recent incidents with Dr. Dao and the PetSafe fiasco. Meanwhile UA is stripping away pieces of the Polaris service, getting rid of showers at Inited Clubs, limiting who can access the clubs, getting rid of award charts, etc. Colour me a pessimist but I have yet to see evidence that UA actually cares. Are they better than AA? Sure but that’s not saying much!
