The last time I took a red-eye to HKG from MNL, they weighed the carryon at the check in, a second time before security, and tried a third time post security. I literally blew up on the third representative and told her that she had a useless job, because how would it be possible to add to the bag between security and then. Literally told my wife not to let her touch her bag and went straight to the gate. Surprisingly enough they didn’t push the issue. Felt like a total terd afterward for having been so mean. It’s a bit hard to keep your composure on 2 hours of sleep and 3 hours of Manila traffic before hitting the zoo that is NAIA.
