Why do you need the card though? Doesn’t your boarding pass already show your status? I’ve never used the digital or the physical card when using any of the benefits.

Do you fly Star Alliance when you try to use your card? If you are not flying with a star alliance carrier then your boarding pass won’t show your status and your elite card will be useless.
