One attendant nearly collided with my husband once (he was 11K and had stood up to go to the bathroom) because the curtain was drawn and they move so quickly. Oops! I was in 11F and was just careful to stand up and move to the bathroom quickly to avoid a collision. Although when I exited the bathroom one time, a busy attendant collided into me when I stepped out. She looked horrified (she had a tray of food that clipped me in the arm and ended up knocking chopsticks off the tray given her speed/impact) but I was fine and apologized to her, too. The unlatching noise of the bathroom lock is usually pretty noisy but I guess she didn't hear it.

The other benefit to row 11 is that our location meant we exited first through First class so we were among the earliest group off the plane. I'm not sure if that's standard (having never flown SQ J class) but a kind F class flight attendant was super helpful when he noticed we had kids (even gave my tween a stuffed animal!). He was the one who gestured for us to come up to First Class to exit the plane.

I'm setting a timer to try for row 11 on our inbound flight but I'm not optimistic. The flight originates in SIN with a stop at NRT en route to LAX, so it may have continuing passengers already seated in row 11. Moreover, since we have 4 in our party, including 2 kids, I am reluctant to just get 1 seat in the mini cabin and leave 3 in the large J class cabin. So i'll check for 11 and 15. I suspect 15 is much noisier due to galley proximity. When I went to the restroom, I always noticed the flight attendants busy in the galley so it rarely seems quiet and slow.

Anyhow, thanks again to all for sharing their experiences.
I take this route 3-4x a year quite a lot of times I’m the only person on the route for the whole journey in row 11.

You’ll find a lot of the traffic in J from SIN to LAX actually do end their journey in NRT. Good luck!
