I was not assuming anything , but just trying to say that something has obviously happened because a FFP number never appears just like that. It was either stored somewhere (likely explanation in your case) or added by mistake by someone.

Could be something like that indeed.

I also made sure to not associate my flying blue with my ticket. And when I checked in I made sure to have the AF employee check that my Skymiles number was in there.

My husband flew with me and was credited his Skymiles for the entire trip. So I know that they were put in the system as I did both of ours at the same time.

I was given my skymiles for the first portion of the trip as well. Just not the return. It doesn’t make sense.

Bolding is mine. Although drjeffrock cases is still mysterious, in your case we know what’s the source of your problem : you did associate, by mistake, a FB account with your booking. You explained us that you installed the AF app and created a FB account (which was not necessary at all) and put the booking in the app by calling the PNR or the ticket number. Even if I understand your frustration, this is it.

Because it’s time, use of ressources and then overall it costs money to the company. When they have done a mistake, or if the problem lies on their side, they have to solve the issue. When it’s the passenger who has made a mistake or who has played with the rules (like I want to credit the miles to program A, but to access the lounge, I want to have program B on which I am Gold to enter the lounge), they are much more reluctant and in many cases they refuse.

You may try. But until FB cancels the credit, I’m afraid DL will not be able to do anything. It’s like if you had done a money transfer on the wrong account. Imagine how much time and energy it will take you to recover the money. And, in this situation, the bank will not be very helpful because they don’t care. This is the same situation here for you. The money is miles and the banks are FB and SM.

For sure...

Overall, I think that both of you have chances to solve that after a lot of fight. In my opinion, drjeffrock cases is much stronger.
