Please, Goldorak. Stop assuming stuff. I did nothing wrong. I am an anal-retentive attorney who was aware of others having this issue, and made sure to do everything right at all steps along the journey. fyi, I booked via Amex portal, with no FF info attached.
I have family and friends who work for Air France corporate as well as some contacts at Flying Blue who have confirmed that I am not the first person to do everything correct and have this happen. I don't care to speculate how they obtained my info, but I do have passports saved with numerous airlines/ff programs like AFKLM. Maybe that's the issue?
On another more pleasant note: I went to Siem Reap on that trip and stayed at the Sofitel there. Your reviews are spot on, it may be my new favorite hotel in the world. Absolutely magical! The biggest mistake I made on this trip was only spending 2 nights there
