I stayed there this summer for a couple nights. As a Diamond, the "breakfast" benefit was just vouchers to spend in the pantry; can't get much for the amount that was given. I was upgraded to a pretty nice bi-level suite, which was cool. Parking was free and yes, one had to drive or take a shuttle everywhere. The pool and hot tub were nice, and the gym was pretty good. The staff were excellent - super friendly and helpful.
Overall this isn't a fancy property but it got the job done for my purposes.
Ski season, of course, is going to be a beast all its own. Pay to play and don't expect a thing more. There's just too much demand and the hotel market is so tight that the ski area properties can name their prices. If this property presents comparative value (cash or points) over other choices, then take it.
