Just had a stay here and the lounge sheet given below upon check-in. Service is good but the lounge itself ain’t the best in Taipei. Food quality is okay for breakfast and not good for happy hour. But for cat 3, I say it’s okay. Breakfast not allowed as an elite benefit in the restaurant. I would rate the Sheraton lounge as the best in Taipei if that’s what you are looking for but at category 5.
Agree. The HH food here is weird. I’d say even Nangang is better (even though it’s also a little weird and repetitive). On points, I’d pick Nangang (slightly better food, better chances of suite upgrade, better transportation access), and when paying cash, the Sheraton is a clear winner (assuming, as is common, that Sheraton and the Courtyards have similar cash rates). What shines at Courtyard Downtown is the lounge staff, especially the lady who came over from Sheraton Macau. But that’s not enough to make me stay here frequently.
