Hello all,

A quick question about baggage on a combined AS/AA itinerary. The ticket was sold and issued by AS, and I have completed the first leg of FLG-PHX-SEA-ANC. The first leg (FLG-PHX) was operated by AA, and required a terminal change (THAT was fun, in PHX). Due to the nature and length of the trip, I had to check a bag, which made it through to ANC without issue.

I'm about to do the return leg, however, my travel requirements have changed, and I need/would like to depart for another trip departing from PHX, and drop the final PHX-FLG return leg on AA. My question is about the bag I need to check. Is there any possibility that AS will check my bag only to PHX, since they are a separate operator? Any experience here? Since this really isn't a hidden city issue, and there are two separate operating carriers, I was wondering if people had experience or recommendations for this.
