Yes, this is normal and expected as of the WoH switchover. Previously, Hyatt was really the only major brand that hadn't switched to require "qualifying" booking methods to count towards status/points/upgrades/etc. Now they're in line with the rest of the brands in that you only get benefits/status/points on qualifying rates (basically anything through the app or website. Non-online travel agents should generally count as well, such as corporate. And agreed upon third parties such as FHR, Prive also count).
If you're booking through hotels.com, expedia, priceline, etc then expect that it will be a stay just as if you were a person who had never stayed at a Hyatt before.
Now, as mentioned you should be able to follow up with someone at Hyatt you could get points for the non-tax and non-alcohol food that you purchase during your stay. But it isn't likely to come automatically because it's linked to a reservation that isn't qualifying for points. And absent an unlikely miracle, you shouldn't ever get qualifying night, brand explorer, points for room rate, status benefits and upgrades, etc.
