As I stated, the reservations were in my name, not as Guest of Honor, and I was able to use TSU on both rooms. This made it possible since I was staying and we changed the names for the second room to my friends' during check in.
TSU is no transferable, thus cannot be used for GoH reservations. But TSU can be used if you book more than 1 room in your name and apply TSU to all the rooms. My original recommendation needs to be amended and not use GoH with TSU.
