In the meantime, one of the OPs above mentioned using a different email and a different phone number. DW and I have just 3 phone numbers between us, one landline, and two cell lines. All of which are already used with AA accounts.
For the people who have recently signed up and just gotten emailers, did you use a phone number not used with AA before? I suppose I could pay for an additional cell line, but that's not my best option.
Umm ... If you have "newly-born" relatives with new AAdvantage accounts, who said you need to have a functioning phone number? For those relatives, nobody is going to call them anyway because they're not going to apply are they? It's you that's going to apply right? Am I missing something?
