I think this might be true...but then it is largely true because the Hiltons aren't as good in Manhattan as the Marriott options. So if better quality is your thing, I'd definitely caution anyone looking at many if not most of the Hilton options.

Dollar for dollar and relative point for point, I think most of us will determine that the Marriott Bonvoy options are better. As with all things, of course, YMMV.

At the top end, Hilton has almost nothing remotely as good. But at the bottom end where many of my groups stay, I find the Marriott options to be significantly nicer (probably because most used to be better Starwood properties LOL).
