Yeah, except they mostly suck too.

I'm back to FHR for high-end Manhattan stays. Just had a fabulous stay at the Langham. Night and day compared to StR arrogance.

Where Marriott is really strong in Manhattan is the low-cost end of the scale. I've had good experiences at various RI, CY, and SS when all I'm looking for is a place to sleep without frills.
