BTW - May also be worth nothing that I believe AS doesn't allow mixed award with AA and QF on the same ticket, so if you go with Dallas, the challenge may be getting there. Definitely make sure you are searching for F space for each individual route if you aren't already, as I would suspect the system won't even consider DFW as a connecting point if starting out of NYC.
