If NW is so serious about only using their web site, they should close their call centers and withdraw from the GDS. In fact Sabre should just kick them off, and see how they like it. Well, they wouldn't like it, because their planes would be empty. So NW wants to reap the benefits of these additional distribution channels but doesn't want to pay the costs. How sleazy is that?
