If he's eligible for lounge access, I can't see how he wouldn't get the increased baggage allowance. What does the website say his allowance is?

There is a bus at gate B1 that he can use to transfer to T5 airside without having to reclear security. It runs every 20-30 minutes, and will take 10-15 minutes to get to T5 once he's onboard. He'll need his LOT boarding pass and passport to get on the bus, so make sure he has it available for the bus people.
