Cards are charged when the hotel feels like charging them. Sometimes not at all. If it is important that you are charged by a certain time, you can ask on the specific thread for that property to see if anyone has booked recently. Or book and if you haven't been charged after 2 or 3 working days, call the property and ask them to charge you immediately.
