I do love the StR SF--it's my favorite by far in SF and my favorite city hotel in the USA (though the StR NYC is a very close second in that category!).

That being said, I also had a fabulous stay and very much also recommend the RC SF. They feel different and obviously have different looks/atmosphere, but both are quite luxurious to me. I don't care much about Club even as I've had access for free to that in the RC SF--so take that with a grain of salt. The locations are just a 10-15 min walk apart, so I don't think that's as important as others might.

If Club lounge is a higher priority, then the RC may be the better choice. If Club lounge isn't a priority, then I'd always pick the StR over the RC using points. I have on occasion, however, chosen the RC over the StR when the StR rates were too much higher, though.
