Oh my Zeus! Will it be that bad??

See my point 20. There are no J class seats for sale on my flights. Interestingly I've gone in and had a look at both Upgrade and Empty Seat bids and it lets me make offers. From a techie point of view this if fantastic revenue management as you know what everyone is prepared to bid so you are auctioning off possible excess capacity or identify who you can move if you need to roll the cabins forward.

The minimum bid for J on the Abu Dhabi to Australia leg is more than I'm willing to bid. Not saying it's not worth it, but I'd rather spend that money elsewhere. The Empty Seat bid proposal while more affordable irks me because I'd be effectively paying for whoever is on the other side of the empty seat a free ride. What happens if they start spreading out into my 2nd seat? Does the crew come and mark the space off? More importantly, do I get an extra meal!!! Regardless, there is only 1 seat left for sale on the flight (which I'm assuming they are catering for no shows) so I don't think I'd get it anyway. Interestingly just searched the flight by the two separate legs and they do seem to be selling in each cabin 1 or 2 seats., so there may be a small opportunity to upgrade, but I still wouldn't at that price.
