There's no airport/lounge I'd be happy spending a 10-hour layover at - not even FCT. Since you're familiar with Taipei, surely there is something you would want to spend a few hours doing, even if it's just eating food.

Taipei Main Station area is old(er) Taipei, but suggesting it isn't a "nice part of town" is quite odd. There are certainly much newer districts in Taipei, but they aren't "nicer parts of town".
