There are a lot of good fares out of PHL with the arrival of Southwest.

For example, there's an L class $158 PHL-LAX fare that can be routed PHL-IAD-JFK/EWR-IAD-SFO-LAX or PHL-IAD-MIA-DEN-LAX. That would get around 8K base miles.

And then add a cheapie PHL-PVD/MHT for $29 plus tax each way and that's it. No US metal neccessary.
