So I was booked on a QANTAS flight from Frankfurt to Dubai (code shared with Emirates, but with a QF flight no).

But my Lufthansa flight from Berlin to Frankfurt was cancelled (due to poor weather in Frankfurt).

So QANTAS put me on an Emirates flight (with an Emirates flight number) from Munich to Dubai, where I'm able to make my Dubai to Brisbane QF flight home.

The thing is - through no fault of my own - I lose the status points and many FF points that I would've got on my original Frankfurt - Dubai flight. This is because my Munich to Dubai flight has an EK flight number.

Can I ask QANTAS to credit me with the points I lost. It is QANTAS after all that the original flights were booked with - they got my money. But I don't get the points.

Anyone had a similar experience, and have any tips?
